I’m Starr, photography is my passion, weddings are my specialty! Serving Western Canada and photographing beautiful people since 2009.
If everyone has a super power, mine is the ability to bring out the best in people with a camera. To see the extraordinary in everyday life and the life in extraordinary days! I believe that it’s one of life’s greatest pleasures to make a living from something you love so much and I've been lucky enough to find my passion. I love creating beautiful images, but more importantly, I love capturing memories!

When I’m not behind my camera you can find me a wearing graphic tees, kimonos & kitten heels (to make me taller) while avoiding laundry and re-writing my to-do list. If you ask me, I will tell you the story about how I ended up living in my hometown after a decade in the big city. My favourite color is any shade of green and my best friend and I started as penpals at age 9. My husband and I designed and built our dream home…took 11 months and our marriage survived it. I’m known for finding an excuse to have ice cream with my three outgoing kids almost every day. I'm all about new adventures...summer boat rides, hiking unknown trails and winter sledding. I'm always planning a date night to the movies or painting mixed media art while watching Netflix.

I love the smell of the mountains and the wide open spaces of the prairies. You can find me living-it-up in small town Saskatchewan with one husband, two red heads, a brunette with glasses and an adopted dog name Piper.
I’m starting my 8th season as a professional photographer and this job at times feels like a DREAM! My goal in life is to help people see the best in themselves and capture it.

This is what defines life & love and really speaks to me as an artist. The other side to my photography style is casual and natural, providing romantic and playful gestures to evoke movement and then pulling back to capture that gorgeous laugh, smile or joy. I love stunning editorial images made with natural light, which complement photojournalistic elements within my work.
You could say that my style is a bit iconic, capturing real moments with a hint of lighthearted emotion.
